Ministers’s decision to give out a permit for international passenger trip includes a requirement for carrier to provide that crew timely informs responsible institutions at the destination about passengers that have showed COVID-19 symptoms. Further action, including passenger health tests is organized according to instructions given by health service institutions.
In accordance with the Cabinet of Ministers Declaration of Emergency Situation in all international carriage of passengers, to provide the permits we need:
1. Start of route - destination (city, state);
2. Vehicle registration number, name of operator company;
3. Information on the driver (s) (name, surname, nationality);
4. Expected date, time, place of crossing the border;
5. List or number of passengers (nationality);

Before making a trip Ministry of Transport encourages passengers to evaluate possible risks and reminds that arriving for a trip-passengers cannot show any COVID-19 symptoms.
Passengers that are returning to Latvia must self-isolate for 14 days.
